Continental Hotel Sorrento

Continental Hotel Sorrento

Sorrento’s Hotel Continental, or the Conti, as it’s affectionately known, is set to re-emerge this summer with a new name and an incredible new look.

The 145-year-old, heritage-listed seaside hotel was bought in April 2020 by a consortium comprising the Victor Smorgon Group, the Kanat Group and Trenerry Property. After a renovation in excess of $100 million and a series of delays in approvals, it’s now set to open in stages from summer 2021 to June 2022.

The famous hotel will go by a new name, The Continental Sorrento, with food and drinks by celebrated chef-restaurateur Scott Pickett and publican Craig Shearer.  Offering a spectacular line up of food and beverage venues ranging from upscale degustation menus through to casual pub meals with an expected capacity of 5000 diners across the multi venue site.

The F and B line up will range from the main restaurant – Audreys, which is named after Picketts grandmother, the public bar will continue the beloved name The Conti, late night cocktail bars, a beer garden and a roof top deck.  This is an outstanding addition to Sorrento’s already amazing food and beverage venues and one we are all super excited to have back.
