Southern Sport and Game Fishing Charters is the realisation of a lifelong dream and a lot of year’s hard work in the Victorian charter industry for owner and skipper Marcus (Baz) Gorman.

Working for over twelve years for two of the leading charter companies in Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait, I now have the opportunity to offer you a wide range of choices in you fishing experience. Targeting anything from King George whiting, calamari and Flathead to live baiting for the hard fighting king fish in and around the Port Phillip heads and Cape Shank or fly fishing for record Mako sharks.

We have the experience and gear to put you on to the fish of a lifetime. 5-8 hour charters Fishing Port Phillip Bay, Westernport and Bass Strait, we target a huge range of species including Snapper, Gummy Shark, School Sharks, Yellow Tail King Fish, Southern Calamari, King George Whiting, Australian Salmon, Tiger, Blue Spot and Sand Flathead, plus a wide range of inshore and offshore reef fish. Specialised charters Shark fishing (December – April) Our Shark fishing charter is an eight-hour trip in Bass Strait chasing Mako, Thrasher, Blue and Seven Gill Sharks.

Starting with live bait fishing for Salmon, Couta, Mackerel and Squid and then setting a burley trail and waiting for the Big One. While we are Shark fishing we are also bottom bouncing for big Tiger, Flathead, Barracuda, Squid, Snapper and Gummy Shark. Yellow Tail King Fish (mid-December – April) Yellow Tail King Fish are pound for pound one of the hardest fighting fish in the sea. We target theses pelagic speedsters with a range of different tackle, including live baiting, jigging, casting, poppers, trolling and soft plastics, and for anyone who is up for the challenge we can break out the fly rods!
